Primož Zupančič was born in 1954 in Ljubljana and spent his childhood in the countryside in and around Dolsko. He attended the primary school in Dolsko and continued his schooling at the secondary school of Gimnazija Poljane. Later, he obtained a degree at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana. He is married and has a grown-up daughter, Urša.

After his graduation from university, he obtained a position at the Court in Ljubljana, where he completed his internship, after which he worked at Žito and then at IMP, where he first worked as a lawyer, and later as director of general services. He then became interested in entrepreneurship and was first elected mayor of Dol pri Ljubljani in 2003 as a non-party candidate of the Lista za Dolsko.

Hobbies:

Outdoor recreation, especially jogging; studying freshwater fish and karstic phenomena. He is an active supporter of environmental protection and an amateur ichthyologist (the study of fish).

2003 - construction of the roundabout in Senožeti

2003 - construction of the gas pipeline from Brinje to Beričevo

2003 - the municipal authorities contributed significantly in ensuring adequate conditions for setting up the local office

2003 and 2005 - co-financing the purchase of fire-fighting vehicles in Beričevo and Dol

2004 - 2007 construction of the sports court in Senožeti and the purchase of land

2005, 2006, 2007 - construction of the gas pipeline in Videm and Dol

2005 - completion of the first phase of renovation and extension works at the Dolsko Cultural Centre

2006 - construction of a roundabout in Dolsko

2006 - completion of the secondary water supply network and its connections in Senožeti

2006 - commencement of the construction of a sewage system in Videm and the related reconstruction of the water supply network, pavements, roads and street lighting that still continues

2007 - construction of another roundabout in Dolsko

2007 - completion of the Dolina-Hrib secondary water supply network

2008 - renovation of the primary school of Janko Moder in Dol

The purchase of 1500 books for the Jurij Vega library.

Large-scale projects under way:

- construction of a waste water treatment plant in Dol due to begin operations in 2008

- the drawing up of a site plan for a business park in Dolsko

- construction of several residential properties in Videm, the site plans having already been adopted

- continuing the construction of the sewage system in Videm and Dol

- reconstruction of the roundabouts in Beričevo and Brinje
